Therapist Sheri Bickford, MEd
Sheri offers counseling services to children and parents and has an engaging way of connecting with children to create a rapport that supports their progress and growth to optimal wellness. She has extensive experience in guiding children, parents and teachers in learning and understanding mental disabilities, social emotional learning, positive behavior modification, creating and implementing 504/IEP plans and interventions that lead to student success.
Sheri hold both a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through the University of the Cumberlands a master's degree in Elementary Education. Sheri also has been in the education arena for over 18 years. Sheri provides services under the direct supervision of Dr. Bailey.

Counselor Tracy Daniels, MA
Tracy holds a master's degree in counseling psychology and is currently working toward his doctorate in psychology. He has vast experience in health education, Critical Incident Stress Debriefing, PTSD and military issues and has extensive training in working with first responders.
Prior to Bailey Psychology Group, Tracy worked at several military operations around the world providing support to military personnel and their families.
Tracy provides counseling and assessment services under the direct supervision of Dr. Bailey.

Alyssa Posavec, MSW


Alyssa earned her master’s degree in social work from Southeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of South Florida. She is currently a registered social work intern and has experience working with teens and young adults who are navigating the transitional challenges in their lives.
Alyssa provides counseling services under the direct supervision of Dr. Bailey.
Alyssa specializes in adolescents and young adults .
She will be in our Tampa office and at various school sites around the Tampa Bay Area.

Melissa Smetzer, MSW
Melissa earned her master's degree in social work from Southeastern University and her bachelor's degree in social work from the University of South Florida. Catherine Colby, MSW
Catherine is a social worker who specializes in helping children. She believes in creating an environment where children feel safe and respected. During her sessions, Catherine works hard to build rapport with her patients by utilizing fun actives to support a child’s social, emotional and academic growth. She believes in a systems approach to counseling, helping parents and children work together to discover the whys and hows of emotional regulation and coping skills needed for success.
Catherine earned her master’s degree in Social Work from the University of South Florida and her bachelor’s degree in Family and Child Sciences from The Florida State University. She is a registered social work intern with over 10 years experience working with children and families, specifically within the schools.

Marcy Miller, MA
Marcy offers psychotherapy and psychological assessment services to children and adults. When working with clients, she uses an integrated approach that is person-centered, relational, and strengths based. Marcy collaborates with clients to better understand how individual and relational patterns of thought, emotion, and behavior affect personal development and social and emotional well being. Using an individualized, goal-oriented framework, she assists clients in gaining insight, incorporating practical therapeutic tools, and enacting desired changes.
Understanding the critical role of parents in a child’s healthy development, Marcy’s work with children and families is highly relational and dependent on parental involvement. She incorporates child-directed play therapy, parent-child interaction techniques, and cognitive-behavioral interventions to address challenges and promote optimal development.
Marcy is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Fielding Graduate University. She has a master’s degree in Psychology and an advanced certificate in Infant and Family Mental Health, both from the University of South FL, and five years of doctoral-level clinical psychology training. Marcy has 13 years of experience working with individuals with various developmental and neurocognitive disabilities. She currently provides services under the direct supervision of Dr. Melissa Bailey, PsyD.

Dr. Melissa Bailey, PsyD
Dr. Bailey is a licensed clinical psychologist with active practices in several states. She has been in the field for over 20 years and received her doctorate from Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Chicago with an emphasis in Health Psychology.
Her vast career includes crisis team work, individual and family therapy, psychological assessments, public speaking and teaching. She has taught at community colleges, Pepperdine University, Ryokan College and at Arizona State University in its Doctorate of Behavioral Health Program. Her extensive knowledge of available therapies, in conjunction with her knowledge of public systems and agencies, allows for expert clinical diagnoses as well as provision of individually prescribed therapy recommendations.
In addition to her private practice, Dr. Bailey has a special interest in the field of Autism. She has two children who are on the spectrum and as a result, she is passionate about helping families with children with special needs.
Dr. Bailey is also a breast cancer survivor. Being trained as a health psychologist prepared her with the knowledge to help patients with chronic and terminal issues; her experience as a patient with her own illness gave her a unique perspective to provide unparalleled compassion.
Dr. Bailey is the author of Pink Hell: Breast Cancer Sucks, her new book recently released about her personal journey with breast cancer. She adds her own sense of Seinfeld-style humor to help women, and men alike, relate to her unique experience.

INSURANCE & PAYMENT METHODS
Many times a one-time letter of agreement can be obtained from an insurance company for Dr. Bailey’s specialty services.
If you use insurance, many services require pre-authorization –
particularly psychological testing.
Things to remember about insurance:

You may have a co-pay for services.

You may have an unmet deductible – services will be out of pocket until that deductible is met.

Your insurance may only allow so many sessions per calendar year.

Your insurance may require that you get authorization, such as with EAP sessions.
We verify benefits as a courtesy only. Patients
are responsible to know their benefits. What we verify may,
no be exactly what insurance covers.
To schedule your first appointment, please email info@baileypsychgroup.com. Once you have completed the forms, they are forwarded them to the billing team, who then calls to get authorization for services. Once authorization is obtained, an appointment is scheduled, if a therapist is available.
Dr. Bailey also accepts cash, check or credit cards. When paying cash, payment is due prior to or at the time of the session. Insurance Discounts Apply.
